A tied-13th finish in THE PLAYERS Championship (pictured above) followed by a top-10 at the following week’s Valspar Championship capped a strong first quarter performance for Christiaan in 2024. He has climbed from 104th on the Official World Golf Ranking at the start of the year to 55th at the time of writing.

“It was a special week at THE PLAYERS,” wrote Christiaan on social media. “I love everything about this tournament. Thank you to the PGA TOUR and everyone involved. I look forward to being back again next year.” 

In fact, tied-9th in the Valspar Championship, the final event on the Florida Swing, was Christiaan’s 6th top-30 finish from eight starts on the 2024 PGA TOUR. The highlight to date is a runner-up finish in The American Express in January. This fine and consistent run of play places Christiaan 15th on the FedEx Cup rankings at the end of March, a ringing endorsement of the swing changes he made during the 2023 season. 

Allied to an improvement in his ball-striking, Christiaan’s putting continues to be a major strength in his game. He is ranked 5th on TOUR in putting average and putts per round and ranked 1st in the one-putt percentage stats.
